Title: - Traitors -
Post by: Lothar on June 05, 2005, 10:37:40 pm
Good guardsmen.
It is with great disbelief that I write this note to you. It has been shown to us that there are traitors against the Avatar and the Church.

Watchmand Delcaradur! You are hereby declared traitor and demanded to stand before a church trial to be overheard in your point of view! From this moment on! You are no longer a member of the militia, until this matter has been settled.
Should you choose not to step forth your punishment will be banishment from Cove, under pain of death.
For your own good, step forth and stand before the trial. When you agree with these terms a time and date will be set.

*Signed Mathus Gray*

On whose authority are these disciplinary procedures imposed?
Watchman Delcarakdur has long been a loyal member of the Covian Militia, and has served in many conflicts that have seen the destruction of Cove prevailed. I do not allow him to be stripped of his Militia pride. But I do wish for this matter to be settled peacefully, and with Watchman Delcarakdur's respect restored.

Commander Eason,
Covian Guards & Baronship Council

Nothin' wrong with a fair trial is there. We can't be havin' infidels and the such amongst our rank!

Our Eminence Hugo, Templar Preceptor of the Covian Church Order has passed authority to me, Mathus Gray, to demand this trial. The demands still stand. The Church is patient, but we have not heard from Watchman Delcaradur as of yet.
We await his forthcoming with great anticipation.

*looks over all the gathered notes regarding this elf and his attempted heresy with a sneer*

It is as I thought. The Fey cannot be trusted to live among men of the Avatar. I leave for one week and already this one begins to work his vile seed of corruption, hoping to remove our glorious church only to impose his heathen gods upon the good people of Cove.

May his trial be swift and his punishment swifter.

Signed,

Mikael Orcreft

Though I believe the Church deserves our devotion and fealty...I voluntarily stand as witness on behalf of Delkaldur.  I may hold a low rank, however; I have served the barony for a long while and can vouch for Delkaldur's loyalty to the Baron and his consistent servitude therein.

We do not question Delcaradurs loyalty to the Baron but his loyalty to the Avatar! Which is more important! The Church serves no man, only the Lord the Avatar!

if such an infidel why does he attend the mass?

Going to mass is not the same as being a good Avatarian. He has offended the Church and openly said that he has another faith and that we shall respect this religion. He has challenged a Squire of the Church - Highly unacceptable. Therefore this trial is to be set forth with time and date soon.
