Title: Carpenter required to repair the Forge and Loom
Post by: Faden on September 16, 2009, 11:47:38 pm
Dear all,

You may have noticed the Forge and Loom was recently attacked and set on fire. The structure is semi stable but requires a new roof and a few walls repaired. I need someone skilled enough to fix the building for me.

Please post below your costs and what you think you can do.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Signed,

*a message, carved into a plank, is nailed to the bottom of the above note - there appears to be a letterhead reading "The Admiral's Log" at the top*

Mr Finebroth,
Being a carpenter of great skill, I'd be happy to help you repair the Forge & Loom.

From a cursory examination of the building, I believe you would be looking at about 10,000 gold pieces to fix.   This would cover additional labour, and the necessary wood.

Given the high costs involved, I would be happy to discuss a loan of some sort with the steward on your behalf.

*a message is inked and sealed in an envelope Tacked to your door*

Mr Goodsoup,
As being a fellow craftsmen like yourself and old friend, I would like to offer my services to you to repair your fine establishment.

You have seen my work in the building of the following facilities:

The Grenadier Hall in Altmere
The Bronze Arms Inn and Tavern in Altmere
The Home of Grenadier Takeamada
The Rebuilding of Heaths workshop, after fire damaged it
The two remodels of the Green Goblin
And my own home / Workshop in Cove

Being a carpenter and stonemason of great skill, I'd be happy to help you repair the Forge & Loom.

I have conducted a cursory inspection of the building, I believe working with you and your ideas we could get your beloved place back in order in no time.
I am quoting you a price of 8,500 Gold Shillings.  This covers all costs, based on a repair that would bring you back to the way you were, with room to modify, as you need.

Given the high costs involved, and knowing that your income has been cut due to the damage of your beloved workshop, we can arrange a deferred payment plan until you have your shop up and running and the return of your income.

Hello,

Thank ye both for the great response to my advert. Would you both be willing to work together?

The soliders of the Baronship gathered the following materials:

(http://neverdream.eu/uo/boards.png) X 1,021     (http://neverdream.eu/uo/hay.png) X 20
(http://neverdream.eu/uo/iron_ingots.png) X 500     (http://neverdream.eu/uo/gold.png) X 7,738

I hope this will be enough to make the necessary repairs? - Perhaps you will require tools or other materials?
