Raiden, Grenadier Captain. (led) Gregor Eason, Senior Guardsman. Ludwik Bloodaxe, Guardsman Recruit. Fenwe Marin, Guardsman Recruit. After the parade I was only left with 3 guardsmen. There was still some time to kill before our expected reinforcements arrived from the colonies so I decided that some battle training was in order. First up I tested those present on target selection. First to fall should be magelings. Their ability to both heal and deal damage from distance is the greatest threat on the battlefield. Archers should be targetted next. Again their ability to attack from distance and keep folk pinned down should be negated as soon as possible. Next to be engaged are non shield bearers, who should be hunted down and despatched. And then after the enemies baggage train, squires, auxiliaries and livestock have been brutally put to the sword, then... The enemy Shieldfighters are to be engaged and in force. I added some brief advice on tackling mounted enemies. Try and dismount the rider and then you have them at your mercy... "Club the buggery out of the horses mouth and I guarantee it'll throw the rider..." leaving the horse unharmed. *shifty eyes* We then did some healing training where both recruits did very well indeed followed by some paired fighting where the Grenadier Captain's teams remained unbeaten!
