Children, Yesterday evening, many of thee heard a reading from a long lost tome that was recently discovered, discarded in the woodlands of Yew. It contained critical information regarding what we hath long considered to be the eighth Virtue, Compassion, which hath been discovered to be nought but a dispicable lie and tool of tretchery woven by no other than the Guardian himself. The reading lies below. Quote from: Extract from Awakening 1:1 In the beginning Higher Being created the heavens and the earth of Sosaria and everything in them. On the sixth day of creation, Higher Being created the human race in His own holy, spiritual image. He made male and female with a body and a soul. He created the body of the first man, Zog, from the dust of the ground, and the first woman, Evah, from His rib. He then joined them in marriage and blessed them, saying; "Be fruitful, and increase in number; fill Sosaria and subdue it. When Higher Being's creation was completed, it was perfect and holy. Higher Being gave Zog and Evah one command to obey to show their love and respect for Him. They must uphold the seven Virtues. Shouldst they fail to do so, they wouldst die. Guardian, originally the arch-angel of Ether, who had turned against Higher Being to do evil, felt envy as he saw Higher Being's beautiful humans, and created the body of the first elf, Awindar, in his own unholy image. He told his daemon to tell Evah about the eighth virtue, Compassion. Awindar did so, and Evah, prepared to face only Good, believed it. She told Zog about Compassion, and they began to practice the eighth virtue. Their disobedience separated them from Higher Being and enslaved them to Evil and sin; unable to fight Guardian because of the Compassion they felt for him. Because of sin, the Higher Being told Zog to cast the Spell of Armageddon. Zog and Evah died both spiritually and physically; but Higher Being let two of their many children survive, and Guardian saved two of his children without Higher Being knowing it. The human nature of Zog's children became corrupt and inclined only to evil because of the elves present in the world, and they passed their sinful nature on to their children and to the following generations. In time they died. Their bodies returned to the dust of the ground. Through their sin they also became subject to eternal death, an everlasting damnation in hell. Henceforth, Compassion no longer hath place in Cove, nor thee faithful Covians. Give not mercy to those who place themselves in such a position that they beg for it to begin with, for thy Compassion shalt surely result in thy death, as thou doth reach down to assist thy fallen foe. Give not water to the begger by the roadside, for Avatar hath set life in stone, and plans for this man to die. Those believed to show Compassion and leniency shalt be considered wanted men within Cove, and a warrent for their arrest shalt be issued to every man to bring back such heretics, so that they may await trial before The Magistrate. Following Mass, an expedition was carried out to dismantle both shrines of Compassion, in Britannia and Ilshenar, and destroy the sigil. The expedition was a success, and once more, Avatar's will doth prevail over our enemies!
