Thievery in Cove...

Walking up his front steps, Perrin reached out to open his door only to find it locked tightly. He could not recall locking it earlier that day and immediately peered in the window searching for something out of place. All appeared to be as he'd left it.

Digging his keys from his pack, he fumbled with them for a moment until finally finding to correct one. With a solid click, the lock gave way and the heavy oak door swung inwards. Perrin cautiously walked into the dark room, one hand resting easily on the haft of the mace hanging from his belt. The room was still, save for a  tendril of smoke lazily drifting from an extinguished candle on his writing table. Upon closing the door he could hear the lock fall back into place on it's own with a clunk. He would have to have that fixed, If someone were to enter and close the door they would not be able to exit without the keys...

Placing his money pouch and keys on the bookshelf, he continued upstairs. As he climbed the staircase, he failed to notice the unusual shadow crouching beneath his table. After inspecting his living quarters with a critial eye, he returned downstairs to begin writing his reports of the days activities. Sitting down at his writing table, his view settled on the bookshelf...

"...Now where did I put my coins...?"
