Title: Leather gathering, Covian Style Post by: Kal/Mathew on August 19, 2008, 08:57:02 pm To gather leather for the Barracks Stores
Led By: Officer Cadet: Kal ShadowHand Attened By: Captain: Raiden Morana Grenadier Sergeant: Vince Valentine Regular Guardsman: Kas Valentine Junior Guardsman: Marcus Kobra After gathering the men at the barracks, I had Kas open a magic gate to Destard where we was going to gather the hides from the walking lizards known as Dragons. Once there I had the men line up to make sure all had made it through Kas's gate. (http://img392.imageshack.us/img392/2024/uo0001wz7.jpg) We then entered and moved further away from the entrance to be faced with a Massave looking dragon, It came at us and was surprizingly stronger than any other dragon I have ever seen or fought with. This would be a mighty Trophy if we could bring this beast down, I said to my self. With that thought I pushed harder and harder, got knocked down several times and picked our selves up to continue the fight. The fight was fearce and hard but soon enough we did bring this beast of a Dragon to its final resten place. Quickly taking out me knife I found the joint of its claw to his leg and cleanly removed its claw from the rest of its body as the others set out to skinning the beast. (http://img395.imageshack.us/img395/8574/uo0002xy6.jpg) After the beast was dressed out we then moved on to find another massave dragon but this time we were more ready for its fearce attacks. It came at us as we stood our ground and the force of its attack eckoed all through the Caverns. We fought long and hard till the beast was layed to rest like its family member I had collected me trophy from. Skinning it was more easier as the more we practice the better we get. After finishing this one we headed deeper in till we found this pond that was filled with all sorts. We move closer to get a look only to be force into battle again one came at us then another , then another till we could nay see each other from all the giant legs that were in the middle of us all. One went down then another and another went down and soon we were chaced off for they had more comming after us. We gather what hides and coins we could then headed to the exit, Olny to be forced into but yet another final battle. (http://img517.imageshack.us/img517/8705/uo0003oz0.jpg) Taking this one down we quickly skinned it and moved out to the exit. Once out side I had Kas open another magic gate back to the Barracks. At the Barracks we placed all the coins and leather collectedfor counting. Resources Gathered: 100+ Barbed Leather 100+ Horned Leather 10,000+ Coins I gave each of the men two thousand coins each, and the rest to the Coffers, Captain Morana placed the Leather in the stores and I took me Trophy to my new Office above the Hospital for hanging. The men were dissmissed and thanked for their Help. Truly nothing can stop the might of Cove, whether it be a gigantic fire breathing dragon or the legions of Yew, we will not be overcome.
Having said that, boy was it hot in there ! Signed in crazy unintelligible handwriting, Regular Title: Re: Leather gathering, Covian Style Post by: Vince Valentine on August 20, 2008, 06:59:17 am The bigger they are, the harder they fall, the old saying goes.
It should also state that the bigger they are, the harder they hit. Still not enough to halt our fine group of Covian heroes though, eh? A trip worthy of Cove, Good work guardsmen and nicely reported Kal. *Signed* Vince Valentine Grenadier Sergeant Title: Re: Leather gathering, Covian Style Post by: Raiden Morana on August 20, 2008, 07:11:00 am Aye, we gave the buggers a taste of Covian swagger that they won't forget in a hurry.
A well led expedition Kal and fine work guardsmen. The mountain of hides we brought back will be put to good use by the armourers i'm sure. *signed* Raiden, Grenadier Captain. |
