As thou hast doubtless learned, 'tis one thing to face the spawn of the Guardian in battle, and another to lead men in such a battle. As a soldier of the Lord, thou wilt find thyself often leading the Guardsmen against all manner of creature. Thy leadership was most satisfactory. As thou hast learned, victory comes through discipline in battle. The Recruit's actions were reckless and foolhardy. The penances suggested by thyself and Friar Vandrik were most apt.
