Covian Guardsman Kas Valentine and Olchafa Serpernt have been cleared of any involvement in the "Murder at the Mill" atrocity in Yew and have been returned to their previous rank.

News reached Covian High Command that the Yewish had recaptured the fugitive Padan, a known associate of Kiran of the Vesper Trading Company. The Swaggers bartender has been accused as the mastermind behind the murders. Under "questioning" Padan once again confirmed that he had committed the crimes and had sought to lay the blame at Cove's door by blaming Guardsmen Valentine and Serpernt.

However Padan's testimony, which was witnessed by Sergeant Hoagie Grayner of the Covian Army implicated the Covian guardsmen in illegal dealings with Kiran of the Swaggers and also being accessories to the murder of Reynard Destain, Bishop of Cove.

No doubt the Church and the Covian military will be looking into these accusations further... And will it mean the name of the woman Mischief be cleared of the Bishop's murder?

Meanwhile the criminal mastermind Kiran is still at large despite Vesper's insistence that he would be delivered into the hands of the relevant authorities.
