Title: Trip to the ER Post by: Jessica Goldeye on October 02, 2008, 01:00:04 am Away i travelled today to the ER for a bump i found about a month ago became pained. I desired pain killers that make me loopy for this would have eased my pain.
The doctor looked me over and said one word: "Hernia". Oh joy to the world; my lump is gonna give me SURGERY. For those that know what it is... they must be sympathetic. For they know the hell i have found. For those that dont know the hell I have found, think about a life where you cannot lift anything over five pounds or you get to go to surgery. Oh the joy of not being able to carry my BACKPACK without another visit to the ER. But i will be seeing a surgeon monday to plan a surgery to fix it. I will post more as I find out more. Keep me in your prayers and pray that I have no infection. When we were younger my brother had a hernia and I remember being at the hospital while he was in there. He's still smiling to this day so I would imagine you don't have too much to worry about. However I do remember they put something on him which left a yellow stain around where he'd had the operation (his nether regions as far as I remember, heh). But it washes off ! Once as a child, the other while in the army! The hard part is the recovery and your friends!!! They will try to make you laugh, don’t do it, it will hurt like hell, but you’ll look back on many years later and smile!
