Title: The Company Returns To Duty
Post by: Raiden Morana on January 02, 2009, 02:24:06 pm
Attended by:

Raiden, Commander. (leading)
Hoagie, Mercenary Sergeant.
Marcus Kobra, Officer Cadet.

Although as Commander I'm never really off duty, I returned to Cove this eve after the Avamass celebrations to turn out the guard and ensure Cove's safety. I could hear the sounds of merriment coming from the Green Goblin tavern as I walked through the Baronship Household so I looked in and caught up with Hoagie and Kobra.

After exchanging the season's greetings and catching up I led the men to the graveyard to make sure the deadites were kept in check. A lich set upon us as we approached but was quickly beaten down and we entered the graveyard to give battle to it's minions. We secured the graveyard and crypt before heading to the orc fort at the double.

The Company securing the graveyard and orc fort.

We fought from room to stinking room in the orc fort, clearing the greenskins and their champions as we went. We managed to liberate the orc's stockpile of shadow iron ore, stuffing it into our packs and then clearing their docks before fighting our way back out of the fort clearing the remaining rooms.

We arrived back at the barracks with 5,000 coins for the coffers and 50 shadow iron ore for the Company smiths.

I am most pleased with thy rescent riddance of the vile beasts dwelling around Cove.

I dost hope the church tithe was not forgotten or the Higher Being wouldst not be pleased.
After all having to offer up some coinage to the Avatar cause is one the hardest things to do from a man whos mind is corrupted by the Guardian into the filling his own pockets with riches in such forms of jewelry, gems and gold.

But in doing such a simple task one shalt learn the simple yet rewarding path of humility that teaches every man to show respect and devotion to their superiors, the avatar and the people in their surroundings.

Indeed Father.

I'll see to it that the coins are tithed as soon as possible. *shifty eyes*

We definitely didn't spend them in the tavern on rum after the patrols. *sage nod*
