Um really?  Has this new elf king been slaying evil and earning a name for themself?  Or is it some brand new char OSI EA-Mythic pulled forth from their nether-regions and suddenly decided to make king without any real basis?

This must be a quandry for the Yewish, having served Britannia loyally for so many years, persecuting the elves etc only for one of them to suddenly become their king.

We take every opportunity to mock the Yewish about it. Join in, please.

As far as where he came from; Who knows? Its EA, they can do what they want - whether RPers play along with it or not is an entirely different story.

I went to the Counsellor's Guild with Betty Smyth the day after "Casca" made his address and obviously my ego comes into play but I thought we roleplayed a 'helluva lot better than the EM that was in attendance....? They had trouble keeping up with everyone whereas the heroes of Cove had no problem dealing with several conversations at once.

Not only that but their responses were basic at best.

I know at times EA does their best, they do try, not mostly but occasionally. And on top of that it IS a hard job, I certainly wouldn't take it, keeping up with roleplayers and regular players...? Changing gears that much would be quite a trial, especially when everyone is giving you attention because "you're the EM".

But with all this in mind....

I'm not remotely surprised they replaced the original lore with something more agreeable.

Complete denial that the elf is a true king.

Remember this Casca is king Pro Tempore:

Yeah, i just.. dont know where it all came from.. It makes little sense to me, and this 'casca' character appears to be brand new in lore. Could they not have used an existing lore name? And not make him Elf.. Since Elves are apparantly new to UO, how'd they become king so fast? MAKES NO SENSE.

It's been suggested that he's a stand-in for Blackthorn. With the present event-cycle being based primarily on Ultima V, and Blackthorn killed off in a pointless earlier scenario, they needed someone to fill the void of the ambitious nobleman turned tyrant.

Like Kas I wasn't overly impressed by the EM, though it can't have been easy. Not with a bunch of attention whores scaling the walls, at least. :P

Chavs aren't rebels, they've just got low-grade Down's syndrome.

But not impressed either. it just reeks of EA pish.

Chaps this thread has about run its course. Keep it on topic concerning this new king thingy. Though I think in all regardss we should simply work to IGNORE EA/Mythic.
