On this 21st of February in the afternoon,

For a recruit task, Company Skirmisher Torrak Keres instructed his men to gather at the Barracks. They lined up and snapped to attention as they were told that orders from above stated a sufficient amount of shadow ore was to be collected for Cove.

After salutes and nods were exchanged, the small company enthusiastically stormed the Orc Fort, all the while sticking together and remaining aware of their surroundings.

Swords were crossed, arrows were fired and spells were hurled. Before long the fighters were surrounded in orc corpses, and caked in brute blood. It certainly wasn't a picnic fishing the ore out of the brutes bludgeoned and smoldering remains remains.

The orcs kept increasing increasing their numbers, sending more grunts, lords, mages, bombers, and brutes at the company. For what seemed like hours, the orc forces swarmed over them. Things got ugly for a while and a couple of mercenaries fell, but were quickly healed by their comrades.

The company never lost their nerve though, they kept their formation and focused on healing each other. While the Melee fighters tore through the fat and tough flesh of the seemingly endless amount of orcs. The arcanist focused on healing, but cast fire down on the orcs at opportune moments.

Finally a sufficient amount of ore was attained! Valuing their hides, and realizing they had enough shadow ore for Cove, they decided it best to cautiously fall back.

With arms working together, they lugged the lumber, ore, ingots, and gold back to Cove.

When all was done, the recruits hit the Green Goblin for drinks.
