Title: ((COMPLETE))Command Task ~ Elizabeth Martin Post by: Linaeus on March 10, 2009, 01:04:50 pm I hate 'cher hat, Recruit. S'just make that clear right now! So 'eres what yer going t'do; yer going to learn why a hat with bells on it aint' the most ideal bit of headwear for someone in our line of work!
~ Interview a Pathfinder or ex-Scout and gain from them a bit of wisdom regarding your hat and the words "giving away our position whenever you move." Part Two: Unity ~ Interview an Officer or Veteran Mercenary and ask them to explain to you the importance of Unity in a fighting force like ours, and the role that uniforms play in that. ~ Lead an armorless hunt to the Orc Fort and slay at least 3 Brutes, and escort the Shadow Iron Ore they carry back to the Barracks. ~ Gather at least 10,000 coins for the Coffers. You may complete each part separately, or all at once. A full report must be completed for each. For Part Three, you must be accompanied by at least 2 other Mercenaries. If you fail, I'll feed your hat to a Balron. *Signed* Torrak Keres, Company Skirmisher Title: Re: Command Task ~ Elizabeth Martin Post by: Pickles on March 11, 2009, 02:27:20 am Task Three - Unarmoured hunt to Orc Fort
Leading: Elizabeth "Pickles" Martin Attending: Kal "I'm awesome" ShadowHand Torrak "Meany Face" Keres Leander "LeBlah" Le Blanc Pippa "Hot Girl" Reed As the first two tasks mean I have to learn about why people hate Jingly hats, I figured I'd start with this one, and get it done with, saving the worst for last. I woke up and found a sort of fight between LeBlah and Keres, I think it was because I told Keres that LeBlah as dating The other Keres, the pretty one, and so he got all prtective and was like "Arrghgh I am man! Me strong me beat up smaller puny man!" And after that all I lined everyone up, except for Hoagie, because he was lazy and needed to "Sleep" pfft. We all stripped off our armour and ran up to the Orc Fort where I explained what will be happening. We charged in and engaged a Brute right off out front, we took him down pretty easily, and recovered, regrouped, and took on a 2nd one. (http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/7704/ct1i.jpg) (http://img23.imageshack.us/my.php?image=ct1i.jpg) As we ran in for the 2nd one, we were caught off guard and taken down by a spring trap of like a billion small pansy orcs that took us all down other then LeBlah who ran off and was able to pull us all up and save the day! After that last hiccup in out plan we were able to take down the last of the few Orc Brutes that we needed to in a few more minutes, easily beating them all up with the tactic of the close combatants taking the small ones and the mages taking the big Brutes. Things went pretty well. (http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/7444/ct2r.jpg) (http://img23.imageshack.us/my.php?image=ct2r.jpg) We then dragged all the Ore down to the Barracks, pulling in a grand total of 15,000 coins, and 75 shadow iron ore. the Orc Brutes will tremble in fear the next time they see the Pickles! If they're smart they'll just hand over their gold and ore before we even get there because I am so amazing. Hurray *Signed* Elizabeth "Pickles" Martin Mercenary Recruit Title: Re: Command Task ~ Elizabeth Martin Post by: Kal/Mathew on March 11, 2009, 04:52:21 am [Walks by, stoping to read the report]
Hmm! Easy enough ye say? Was nay easy, but to a Covian if it is too easy it isn't worth bothering with or killing. Fine repoer Picles of the Jingle. Keep up the good work ehh! SignedOfficer Cadet: Kal ShadowHand Title: Re: Command Task ~ Elizabeth Martin Post by: Pickles on March 22, 2009, 07:35:34 am Stealth and Unity.
Late last night I took Kal ShadowHand aside and since he is both an Ex-Scout and Officer I talked with him about both subjects. First we talked about Stealth, where he said that the jingling will give us away in just a few steps and we all could be attacked. He explained how bad it was for us, and how good it was for the enemy! So next time we're trying to be sneaky I might have to switch to something less Jingly, like a cap, or..bonnet.. but it has to be purple! (http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/4025/ct1c.jpg) (http://img7.imageshack.us/my.php?image=ct1c.jpg) After talking about Stealth we talked about Unity. He explained that our Uniform keeps us united, everyone following one leader, wearing the same things creates strength in our unit. And that if we look bad, our leader looks bad, He even insulted my hat, saying that it makes us look bad, and unprofessional! What an outrage, I told him that all the black looks bad, and that it needed brightened up, after a while he admitted that the hat looked good for me, and fit my personality. We came to an agreement that I can wear it when I'm not actively on duty, but once I am on duty, I should remove it and look "Professional" Which I guess I can do, until i lead the company and am able to change the uniform rules, allowing us to wear any headwear that we like! Gosh. Our uniforms remind us what we are fighting for. The Covian Cap, a symbol of the sacrifce made by so many Covians past, so that we may enjoy our freedom today. Our shadowy garb a constant reminder of the tough and gritty nature of the town and inhabitants we serve. It is an honour to wear the Covian uniform, nay matter what its condition and it is an honour ter serve alongside my fellow Covians. *grins* Yes lass, even ye. *winks* *signed* Raiden, Commander. |
