Title: *Excerpts From The Commander's Journal* Post by: Raiden Morana on March 26, 2009, 04:32:55 pm *These are excerpts from Raiden's journal and OOC information *
The colour is coming back to her cheeks, I suppose that bodes well. Her strength is slowly returning also. Though the panic attacks aren't subsiding and now we sleep in front of the hearth as she fears the dark. * * * * * * * * * * * * Rai' looks brighter day by day. All her wounds itch, which is a sign of them healing. The wound on her arm still weeps however. The liquid has no odour. It nay smells like cheese which would be a sign of gangrene, for which I am thankful. I believe it is just part of the healing process. * * * * * * * * * * * * Kobra seems to be making a little headway with his mission. I hope he can find a healer or arcanist powerful enough to heal her wounds, both physical and mental... She suffered another panic attack this eve... * * * * * * * * * * * * We ventured out this eve, staying indoors was getting her down and I want Rai' in as good spirits as possible to help her recuperate. Especially as she feels movement in her crushed finger, when it hangs limp and lifeless. Rai' knew that wasn't a good sign even though I tried my best to assure her things would be alright. * * * * * * * * * * * * Rai' was mad at me tonight for us warring with the Vesperians. The bastards were on our soil and once I put her right her anger was diverted to Escaflowne. Hoh! Rather him than me. We travelled to Trinsic, to the Elven Quarter. The elfkind are known for their abilities as healers and possessing strange magics. I don't think the Churchies would approve but I'd suffer anything for Rai'. We spoke with the baker Stewan and he confirmed that two elven healers lived in the Quarter and so we asked that he try and contact them on our behalf. * * * * * * * * * * * * I hate Mondays. I always wake badly. Railen had left me a note saying she was going to be at the Trinsic Rose to see the healers Stewan mentioned. I quickly donned my armour and headed for Trinny. Gwen was there to greet me and invited me upstairs into her rooms where two other elves were tending to Rai'. She was a little drowsy and I held her hand as the golden haired elf woman went to work. I was asked to assist and was instructed to remove my armour while the over elf, a male, cut my upper arm and finger to replicate Railen's injuries before he then used prayer to heal them. The elf lass too seemed to take on Rai's wounds. Blood seeping through her shirt and her little finger crushing in on itself with a sickening sound. Railen was by now unconcious but her breathing steady. She was safe and Gwen kindly let her stay the night in the Rose. As I left the elf healers wounds were gone... As were Railen's, apart from the faintest of traces. A miracle... * * * * * * * * * * * * I collected Rai from the Rose the following morn'. Although she nay had full movement of her injured arm and finger, that should come in time. She wanted to go back working at the Swaggs and while I'm not happy about it what could I do. I asked her to be careful and not to lift anything heavy. Physically she's on the mend, s'just her mind I'm a little fearful about, though her panic attacks have lessened and we're back sleeping in our bed. * * * * * * * * * * * * |
