Welcome to Cove

Hi!

I'm revamping parts of the website, and we're in need of a map of Cove! It would be nice to have a fancy annotated one, with borders and such drawn on. Does anyone have one handy?

Would anyone like to have a crack at making one?!

If you produce one, you'll have the honour of having it on the website, and I might even swing some UO gold your way.

I made this one if we ever had an invasion campaign in Cove. It could be altered easily. How detailed do you want it?

That one doesnt really show the provinces, or even our territory, very accurately (or even at all).

I like that one, looks like we own most of Vesper  :D

It would actually be more helpful if you could specify what you'd like to see different or where you'd prefer the lines drawn in your critique.

That's the one I did, but I have to say I think Faden's is more attractive.

I haven't divvied things up on it yet, since, while I know what Cove owns and doesn't own, I'm a bit hazy on where things start exactly on the map... or what we think we own versus what we actually own.

Keres I had nothing to go off and that map was created to illustrate how we could have a district invasion if a campaign ever occurred, it was purely an example.

Leander I like your map its kinda 3d but the map/canvas texture is a little strong.

I like them both!

Leander's has the detail, like a satellite photo, but I like how Faden's shows the border like that.

If I could get Faden's border on top of Leander's detailed view, I would pile endless gratitude on you both!

Plus, i dont think the orc fort is our territory.
I think its the Orcs.

And the bay, sureley belongs to us??

And I added a label of the Glenmore Mountains in for Raven. :)

I held off on removing the lines from the fort though. From a Covian perspective, I'd say the orcs are on our territory invading us. Its official name in Sosaria is "The Cove Orc Fort" after all.

Aye, the Fort is WITHIN our borders, thus is it every mans duty to slay them all! Other than that I say we have a grand map!

Altmere fort is on the border so it isn't really Covian so the line certainly shouldn't be behind it!
In fact if you read the Minoc accords it states very accurately who owns what!

Also, you wouldn't own allllll of the bay! That's Britain! The water would be contested or half and half! Theifs!

Altmere i was lead to believe is the land all the way up to the Bridge to Yew where i think it was KT or some other knightly guild used to be located. Something like this:

Also i don't see any problem with Cove laying claim to all of that bay because it is Cove Bay and it is nowhere near Britain.

I don't see how that Bay can be associated with Britain.

There's actually Covian overseas territory (the colonies) as claimed by Jarvis Miller's expedition, as per the map on the Covian encyclopedia:


The map is meant to show how COVE views its territory, not anyone else. If anyone else wants to dispute it.. Well, I guess we'll see you on the battlefield. ;)

That doesnt mention Altmere anywhere.

To strive for political correctness, and since borders can be a touchy subject with people, Cove's best cartographers have worked diligently with the Church and produced this grand spiritual atlas. Cove's borders have also been slightly reduced.
