Alfred Windal, Commoner, and leader of our discussion Maibaum Holzfee, Commoner Sonja, Commoner Penny Freckletip, Commoner Briefly, Hoagie, Mercenary Sergeant Mr Windal called a small number of the townfolk to gather to-day at the hall. He wished to propose a kind of union amongst all tradespersons in Cove which might protect and further our interests, and might too go some ways forward in promoting the cultural life of the towne. Members should meet regularly to discuss the issues of the day, to plan both working and social affairs, and to ensure that labourers are receiving fair payment. A census or roster of tradespersons should also be drawn up to help in this work. (http://www.pixelmancy.com/uo/Cove_Town_Hall/12.04a.png) Mr Windal invited those present to accompany him to the site of the old printing house, which he has purchased. Here he will be installing tools and machinery for craftspersons of all trades to use as they like. There will also be space for meetings. Mr Windal thought that the olde press might be used for a new publication which he himself might edit. There was some discussion of our leadership; it was suggested that the Steward might have a deputy to lead and speak for the townsfolk when Mr Striker is indisposed, such as at present.
