Ulfir, Mercenary Recruit. Those still fight to fight rallied at outside the barracks before heading out to track down the orcs and the recover the gold taken from the Treasure Fleet. Previous intelligence had placed the orcish stronghold somewhere over the seas from Trinsic, so we headed through the deserted town and into the woodlands on the other side of it's bridges. (http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/5029/tf3wwt.jpg) Kobra was first to spot the orcish trail, with Kal and Aliryl tracking the greenskins from thereon. It was obviously a trap, the orcs had left a non too subtle trail of gold and gems that lead into a clearing where our stolen payment was left unguarded. We approached it in close formation, alert to any attack when the orcs charged us from the undergrowth. We quickly took down most of their number without a single loss to our force. The lone surviving orc taunted us from their stronghold before a hail of bolts and spells sent him packing. As we approached he sprang forth and was as quickly despatched as his fellows. We recovered the remaining money chests from the orc's lair before firing the place and heading home. *signed* Raiden, Commander. |
