Title: Fur of the Beserk Bear [Trophy Hunt] Post by: Delfer on July 29, 2009, 05:43:10 pm Why was there no mention of the other large black thing at the end of the cave -WITH- the bear?! Commanding Officer: Buttons, Bear Slayer Guardsmen in Attendance: Thomas Aylmer, Watchman, Bait Rita Whalebiter, Watchman Kelban, Guardsmen Recruit Jasper Boltshot, Guardsmen Recruit Ruby Whalebiter, Guardsmen Recruit Abigail Keres, Guardsmen Recruit Bears.. A well-known threat to the safety of Cove. They have to be stopped before they're allowed to take over the world, and then Cove... Today the guards were having trouble deciding where to go for a hunt that never was because of some vampire magic, so I had to rally them together and make a decision! "Doom" "Ancient Liches" "Golden Dragons" Wastes of time, all of them. There was a -real- monster to kill that day, a bear... It was a big one! In the Painted Cave's off Trinsic, I'd read it's fur was a trophy so I jumped at the opportunity. Inside, we made our way into a dead-end, and fought off hordes of large, dumb Vesperian swine. It was extremely easy, and that's when we decided to move up. So we did! We moved into a fancy corner, how convenient. And then the bear came! It toppled over dozens of the other things as it attempted to eat our faces. Then the other thing came! It was a huge black one! And it was all angry! We were completely swallowed by the creatures as one by one we fell over. Eventually we had to make a run for the exit, into the light where we gathered ourselves. (http://img30.imageshack.us/img30/9940/grobulurg.png) We were in a pickle at this point.. We had to get our stuff, but the bear and the thing were at the door! That meant Aylmer had to be bait, while we ran to get our stuff. So we did that. Then we attempted to make an arkay maneuver, which failed horribly. In the end we decided the best way was to get ourselves together and fight them head on. We were immediately surround, but Aylmer decided to poison one of them at a time. That was the target, a brilliant tactic for picking off weaker ones in a fight. And so we picked one by one off, slowly, until it was just us, the bear and the thing. The bear fell, then the thing fell and all was grand.
