Title: Brotherhood atlast. Post by: Marcus Kobra on August 17, 2009, 01:28:11 pm The wind whipped the banners with a loud flutter and crack. The gulls cried mournfully from the bay as the sun sank into the horizon its glow reflecting off the water like bronze. Bronze the colour of the arms he now strapped on amidst the cheers of his comrades. Bright blazons where they, badges of honour and duty, swagger and respect. He now shared brotherhood with some of the greatest men in Cove, not least her own Baron. He whispered to himself feeling his sentiments inappropriate for all those smiling faces; too solemn a reminder. . . "My life is yours Baron" He smiled from ear to ear anyway, it was a life he gave freely. Though his life had oft been held in the hands of others and rarely his own, for the first time in his life he had surrendered it of his own free will and joined men like to himself in a noble cause. Sacrifice for a single soul, a soul that was an ideal, an ideal which was the Empire he loved so dear, and in it was embodied all the peoples about him. Poor and rich, sophisticated and rustic, young and old, man and woman, saint and rogue. Their ideals through one soul had now come into his protection and care. He would not fail them, and he would not fail the Baron, so long as he had life left to give.
"Well get back in line, you can nay have all the attention!" His moment was broken, but glory would attend to itself. He was a Grenadier, one of the Old Guard, A Barons Own.
