Welcome to Cove

Sup all, I'm (probably, unless procrastination gets the better of me tomorrow) not going to be logging on to UO for at least a few days, up to a few weeks, and possibly then sporadically. The reason for this is I'm going to Germany for a year, it's a uni thing, and I leave on Friday. I haven't yet worked out where I'm living in Germany and so forth, so damn you all for providing such good distractions. Also, once I get there, I'll be studying at Cologne university, so (as has happened in the past at uni) I may cut back on UO time heavily, depending on how much socialising I manage to get done in between the huge culture shock.

Pff my old stomping grounds is Schweinfurt and Wurzburg Germany. I pwnd them places. Have fun tho, and beware teh trains, Germans aren't fond of deo for the B-O   DAMN IM GOOD

Good luck! Ive been through Cologne on my way from the Netherlands to the Mosel region, which was beautiful...even if flooded nine years ago when I went. Was a nice gift of a weekend trip from my friends parents, who knew I loved really old architecture.  Sadly, Berg Else was closed, but we hiked to one of the old lookout towers that dotted every hillside to warn of advancing armies. Pretty neat system.

Hehe, welcome to Germany, Morgar! :D I used to live not toooo far away from Cologne (42781 Haan), but really you ought to come to Lower Saxony. 'S much less rubbish here! ;)

Update!

I am moving in to a (not exactly super, but very much cheap) residence tomorrow, which has wireless internet. Whether it has the possibility to use an ethernet cable for Real Internet, or whether the wireless is actually fit for anything other than slow forum and facebook browsing, remains to be seen.

So, while having Adventures remains the primary goal, and my time on UO will be in any case restricted, it's possible I may be sporadically back as of tomorrow.

Hey everyone, I just moved accommodation and the new place has at the moment a pretty temperamental (read: fail) internet connection. It might get sorted out soon, but for now, I'll try using UO but I suspect the lag will be too much. If so...see you all...at some point!

I lived over there for a little while, about 3 years in Guterslough as wee nipper.  Well from age 4 to 6/7.   I remember walking through 3ft high snow drifts in a field with my uncle and my mum losing her mind over it cause he could of gone to jail for trespassing.   That and the baby goats some german people had in the garden behind their shop which backed onto the grassy area near our flats.  And hot chocolate at Hertzs and.. *reminisces*
