Welcome to Cove

Following repeated incidents of Yewish hostility towards Covian citizens, it has become clear that the Protectorate of Yew's attitude towards the Baronship has shifted from one of friendship and cooperation to one of outright provocation and disrespect. Because of this, it is hereby declared that all Yewish citizens, regardless of rank, status, or reason for visit, are to remain unarmed within our borders, and relieved of their weapons if they should fail to do do so.

Furthermore, travel to the lands of the Yewish Protectorate and it's allies is hereby restricted to members of the Covian Army on official business (this does not include ill-conceived pranks), accompanied by an Officer of Corporal rank or above. This is in the interest of maintaining the peace between our nations and the safety of our citizens and soldiers.

Guardsmen should avoid resorting to violence in dealing with the Yewish and similar Royalists except when all else has failed, but should keep in mind that safeguarding the peace and honor of our homeland is our highest priority. If you are attacked, treat your attackers as you would treat any invader.

In addition to the above, Guardsmen are asked to remember that relations with Vesper, while having backed down from outright hostilities, remain somewhat tense. While all travel bans have been lifted, Vesperians sneaking around or wielding weapons in Cove is NOT to be tolerated. Apprehend and question suspicious persons regardless of their apparent nationality.
