Leander Le Blanc, Junior Guardsman Guardsmen in Attendance: Cal'ain Cui'gnir, Guardsman Recruit Lucas Drachen, Junior Grenadier Railen, Watchman Sergio Jarrett, Regular Scout When: 28th January Where: Altmere At night on 28th January, we discovered a strange blood drenched note outside the Church. Upon inspection it revealed that a recruit had been kidnapped and there was an ugly ring inside the bag. It gave us no evidence to go by. After a long and confused debate, I suggested we head up along the road North. Upon reaching the new Grenadier fort we would build a sentry, questioning passersby and peculiar travelers from other lands for evidence. Alas, given the hour, things would prove to be quiet and our high hopes for suspicious highway men were dashed aside. Upon arrival we were ambushed by outlaws and brigands, clearly no match for the Covian Army. They met their fate pretty quickly, and regrettably they seemed unconnected with the crime that had just taken place. It was an arduous process, but one that needed to be done. And when it was completed we were proud of it, to use the words of Lucas 'twas “well erected.” We stood guard for a fair few hours as darkness closed in 'round us, we held aloft our blazing torches for light during those cold wee hours. To pass the time we chatted it up and played a game of dice. Our purpose was to find the missing recruit, in that regard we failed. The sentry was a success though. The problem is, so many recruits die (R.I.P.). We didn't want to waste too many resources and leave Cove unarmed so we had to trek back to the Baronship Household. *Signed in neat cursive* Leander Le Blanc, Junior Guardsman |
