Welcome to Cove

Commander, I have been away for sometime now but I am back and have been taking much action within Cove.. I would like to fill you in though with all that is happening. A few nights back I was having an argument with Willow, a former Vesperian barmaid and now a Vesper militia recruit.. She claimed that no treaty was ever signed between Cove and Vesper and the Vesper still belongs to Vesperians, however, I was unsure due to my absence, however I have been up to date and have been aware that one does exist..

Willow and her pissed off attitude led her to throw a bottle at my head and gave me quite the scar on my forehead. Watchman Atrus is set to marry this one and I feel much heated conflict around no matter where I go, he also wishes me to be his best man at his wedding..

One of the following nights some orc came to Vesper and I wasn't aware of what our policy was on orcs in Vesper.. Two of the orcs began arguing and fought one another, one of the orcs seemed to have wanted to befriend the rest of us humans. I have the orcs name now and he has been branded by Vesper as he is now seen as an ally to them. After the orcs fought the Vesperians drove from out of Vesper shortly after.. I went up into the tavern to drink and get wasted but was too drunk to come out and fight after they came back with another orc and defeated many Vesperians and Atrus who was among them and they had taken Willow hostage..ed to attack the Yewish if they come to Vesper, however, us being allies with them, I wanted to

I have learned that the same orc got Willow freed from the other orcs.

There is also another policy I have heard that Vesperians may attack the Yewish on sight, Leanne and myself have both agre get your thoughts, as it is within the treaty that we are to protect Vesper.. It now becomes in a question in my mind if we would rather remain allies with Vesper or the Yewish?

Well, as my cousine made me her legal succesor during her absence, I might just could state the facts. Vesper has a proclamation, that they kill or arrest any Yewish man or woman that enters Vesperian soils, whichever comes first. As we're to uphold Vesperian laws during our patrouilles there, this brings us indeed in a conflicted situation, as the Guardsman Militia are as well our allies. However, I'm sure the Baron and the two companions of that day, when they signed, knew of that.

So in the end, we're not to question the Baron's way. We ARE to uphold the laws in Vesper, this includes as well the proclamation. As well as some Vesperians deny that we're their protector and they our vassal, also some Yewish people deny that we're their allies, even though we rescued their arse a few times, starting from the plague up to the recent conflicts with the undeads and orcs. Every citicen or soldier of Yew knows of the Vesperian proclamation, and any who is stupid enough to enter Vesper, knows what can happen to him or her. No matter if it'll be a Covian or Vesperian soldier that drives them back.
