Title: Ily's Guide to Imbued Spell Training Suits
Post by: Leanne Martin on June 04, 2018, 12:56:20 pm
Hullo there!

So you have a spellcaster of any sort but don't know how to train yet? Well, fear not, imbuing has been a true helper with that!

Below is a chart what your suit should have and why. And if you don't have an imbuer, no worries. There are plenty of imbuers around the server, including in RAA or our community as well, and imbued suits aren't that expensive anymore.

Clothing Parts

ALWAYS use a medable suit, f.e. Leather or Cloth armour.

Lower Mana Cost (LMC): Set this to 5. It caps at 40 no matter what. With all 6 Clothing parts, you get 30, and later on 10 from a spellbook
Lower Reagent Cost (LRC): Set this to 17. With all 6 parts that high, you'll get 102, so enough to not need any reagents during training.
Mana Increase (MI): Set this to 8 (max intensity). Can't have enough Mana while casting spells
Mana Regeneration (MR): Set this to 2 (max intensity). The faster you recover Mana, the faster you can train again.

Jewelry
Here we only have to worry about two items - a ring and a bracelet.

Faster Cast Recovery (FCR): Set this to 2 instead of 3. Having 4 in total is enough to train effectifly, as you will be meditating and regenerating mana anyway most of the time, so better keep it less expensive
Faster Casting (FC): Can only be set to 1. With two jewelries you get a total of 2, which is the cap for most skills. Keep following in mind:
  • Magery, Mysticism and Necromancy can NEVER have more than 2 FC
  • Bushido, Chivalry*, Ninjutsu, Spellweaving and Bard Masteries can NEVER have more than 4 FC
*Chivalry caps at 2 FC if you have more than 70 Magery or Mysticism
Intelligence Bonus (IB): Set this to 7 per item. Max intensity is 8, so you loose two. But imbuing 7 instead of 8 is way less costy, as 8 needs 8 Turquoises, which are not easely farmable

Spellbooks
I suggest the following Spellbooks for training
Conjurer's Grimoire (10 LMC, 8 IB)
Scrapper's Compendium (10 LMC, 1 FC, 1 FCR)
Anon's Spellbook (10 LMC, 10 LRC, 8 IB)
Corgul's Handbook of Mysticism (10 LMC, 20 LRC, 3 MR, requires HS expansion)
Corgul's Handbook of the Undead (10 LMC, 20 LRC, 3 MR, requires HS expansion)

All other books either give useless benefits for training, don't give 10 LMC, or increase any of your spell skills, which is not good for training.

I hope this chart helps a little. For further questions, just post them here or send me a PM, as I've noticed that imbuing and item properties are still a grey area for a lot of returning players.
