Commander Eason blinked his eyes rapidly. Sleep.. was a luxury ill affordable by Covian officers. Alas, a life of paperwork after hours seemed the only form of ease when commanding a military force. Nevertheless, the Commander sipped his cup of hot chocolate and went on...
"Drachir. Bit of an attitude, but shaping up. Let's see what he'll make of this..." The Commander scribbled down quickly the ingredients of his vonderful test for the young Watchman. Trial Approved!

Watchman's Trial: Drachir
Addressed to Watchman Drachir

Greetings Drachir,
I have here the documents concerning your Watchman's Trial. Ye have been doing well recently, showing considerable effort and so forth to the Covian cause. Therefore, I am confident that ye shall take ye training as Recruit and Watchman, and complete the tasks set down efficiently and effectively.
The Covian Cap is well within ye reach. Best fetch it!

Tasks
* Construct a fortified encampment in the heart of the Covian Shire.
* Slay a Stone Harpy, an Elder Gazer, and a Lich.
* Organise and lead a Hunt to Covetous, planned in advance on the Events Board.
 - Collect at least 10,000 crowns from this Hunt, and present it to the Militia Coffers.

Conditions
* The encampment must be maintained for approximately thirty minutes, and be well fortified.
* The encampment must include food, water, bedrolls, and other necesssary provisions.
* The encampment must be manned by at least three guardsmen at ALL times during its keep.
* The Covetous Hunt must include at least three guardsmen.
* 10,000 crowns from Hunt must be presented to a Covian Officer.
* All aspects of the Trial must be well documented in a FULL report, posted in THIS thread.

Watchman Drachir wakes up, after a peaceful night in his cosey Room...
"what's this?" he says to himself, as he sees a note by his bedside...he starts to read it.
He realises  that he must get to work straight away, for the day ahead of him will be tough, tedious but well rewarding...

           I gathered my willing volunteers, Watchman Vince Valentine, Recruit Ben Radau and Recruit Garand and took them to the camp, there we collected wood for the crates and skinned animals for hides that would enforce this camp. Once we had structured the fortress, we then decided to gather all the appropriate belongings for us to survive in this fortress. We collected this in not much time at all...then, the long  wait began...

We had set up camp, and were ready for anything that tried to stop us doing our duty for Cove

...The 30 minutes was up, we had successfully fortified the camp, and protected it from anyone...well, we probably would of protected it from anyone if anyone came *grins*.

We decided to go the Graveyard east of Cove to defeat my first foe, the lich, we had some trouble at first with the other monsters, helping the lich take me out, but finally I succeeded in killing the Lich. Luckily as we were on our way to the graveyard, Achates the witch hunter helped us.

We had succeeded in slaying one foul creature, but we still had two more to go, we decided to head into Covetous early, just to get a stone harpy ticked off the list. We succeeded in doing this in only 10-15 minutes, which was excellent.

"There's usually an elder gazer on his own in Valor Sir" Garand explained.
"Very well Recruit, we shall go there" I answered. And so we took a trip to Britain moongate, and from there, we went to Valor.
           It took us some time to find the retched Elder Gazer, Garand first lead us into the forest of Valor, but did not succeed in leading us to one. But then the mage Ben Radau stepped in, and pointed us in the direction of one. I killed it, we cheered and that was the end of the slaying of the creatures.
"Victory!" I cheered.
"Aye!" The rest said in chorus.
"Thankye' all and I hope you'll be turnin' up for the Hunt in Covetous!" I thanked.

We returned to our barracks, tired, worn out, but glad we had defeated our foe. I said goodnight to my fellow Guardsman as they all went to bed. But i knew that i had to complete one more thing before i could rest...the Hunt.

...10 minutes 'till the fifth hour t'was, when i decided to go stand outside the barracks, waiting for anyone te' turn up...i was startin' te' get a bit hopeless, seein' nobody here. But wait! Here comes Recruit Garand and Recruit Damas Wulfmaw! We could continue the hunt! But before we could set off Recruit Owen decided to join us!
"Ah welcome aboard Recruit!"I shouted.
And so we started that long journey to Covetous...

...Once we reached the Covetous entrance, we met up with Commander Eason, who said that he would go with us inside the Dungeon.
"Right! As ye' all know, during this hunt I gotta collect 10,000 gold for the Militia Coffers. Now I'll do this, so any money ye' get, ye' can chose to do whatever ye' like with it!" I said just before we went inside.
"Right! Onward! And remember te' Heal!" I shouted.

           Once we were inside the dungeon, it was not that hard, we fought as little as gazer larvas, to as tough as water elementals and Deadly Spiders, but nothing could stop us, half way through collecting the gold, Commander Eason explained that Regular Scout Kal Shadowhand would be joining us, and no quicker had he said it, Kal had shown up. Hurrah, another happy follower!

"Sir, how much gold do ye' have?" Recruit Garand asked.
"AH, i have enough, 10400 gold i 'ave!" I replied.
"Righ' then, Forced March back to the main entrance of Covetous?" Commander Eason suggested.
"Aye!" I shouted, being excited over a successful hunt, the first ever hunt i had lead, i was thoroughly proud.

"Ah," Watchman Drachir says to himself, as he decided to tuck himself in for the night. A long day it has been for him. He thinks back to all the things he had done in that day...got together a good group of guardsman, set up a fortress of a camp site...lead his first hunt. He goes to sleep, thinking about the wonders that will await him, the following day.
