Title: First phase of the Hunters Lodge construction
Post by: Erik Arkay/Evinyatar on October 06, 2005, 02:56:21 pm
Aaah! A glorious day to do some buildin'! Em civilians gathered all the iron, rocks and wood I should need! I drew out a small plan of what I hope to build. I just hope the entire thing won't come clammerin' down too soon!

Hah hah! A grand foundation! That's the key! Keep em rodents from breedin' on the Lodge floor! Keep the Lodge from crumblin' in a pile o' rubble on the muschy Covian soil. *Erik nods to himself, spits in his hands and starts toiling*

*Almost ten hours and several blisters later the work is progressing nicely. Erik has just completed the foundations when he suddenly noticed the diminishing pile of wood*

Gah! I be needin' more wood! Bah! I'll be needin' them civilians to go labourin' in the woods again. Swindle me out o' me hardearned shillin's

*Erik mutters and walks off in the direction of the Town centre*

[OOC] I already had one BoCer go nuts so I'll mention it here: You're not supposed to know there's a room built into the foundation. I know it's easy to detect hidden doors in game but in reality these can be VERY well hidden. Just roleplaying you 'happen' to find crevices and locate the door is poor roleplay. Likewise it's not good to 'know' I or someone else is inside. You can't see through walls so you don't know someone is in there! It's perfectly alright however to 'suspect' something is fishy and that a foundation so high up is 'unusual'. I would even imagine a BoC or enemy scout might try to sneak in but then you roleplay it proper by following me, stealthing and watching me operate the hidden door. That is all :) Hope you enjoy it!
