Title: Miss Richter Post by: Veldrin on October 14, 2005, 06:57:34 am Kendall Anne Richter
Age: 26 Race: Human Gender: Female Class: Paladin Personality: Brash and confident, Kendall will not be belittled by her male kin. Ernest to prove herself, she will rise to any challenge. As a noble, she is not without a certain degree of conceit or vainness, and she is often condescending. Good at heart, however, she draws her blade to any evil, to do her duty as Paladin and purify the land. History: Fitting to her name, Kendall was always quite a bit of a tomboy growing up. Unlike other girls who frightened easily at the sight of insects and rodents, Kendall was fascinated by them. She would often set traps for rats and mice, and chase after a spider whenever she spied one. There are many young girls who grow up with this notion, but as Kendall was born into a wealthy family, it seemed all the more notable and odd. Before Kendall reached the age of ten, her mother Agnes died from a chronic illness that could not be cured. The day of her death, Kendall went through a period of silent grief. But, guided carefully by the wisdom of her father Nicolas, it was not long before she returned to her usual bright and jubilant manner. She never had any siblings, but she had several cousins. About half a decade older than Kendall, Octiovus was among these. In her childhood, she remembers him as an arrogant and often demanding boy that never backed down when he wanted something. But the same could be said for most Richters, if not all children of noble families. Always the adventurous sort, the young girl eventually moved on from rats and spiders, and would often wander off to hunt for mongbats and headless ones, cutting them down with a small dagger. Rather than learning how to sew or how to braid hair, Kendall was more interested in learning how to fight like a warrior. This was frowned upon for a girl of such nobility, but her father supported it. Why he supported it was never certain. Perhaps he was trying to keep her, or himself focused on something other than her mother. Perhaps it because he never had a son. He instructed her throughout her adolescent years, how to use a sword and shield. When she reached her late teens, she set for a paladin academy Luna to train the art of chivalry. While she was enrolled, her father was badly injured in a horse riding accident, and later died from the infection of his wounds. She returned to Cove to visit him at his death bed, and held his hand when he died. Forlorn, but no less strong-willed, Kendall went back to her studies in Luna, not to return again until her training was complete. |
