"Right Vince" Erik says as he returns the salute "We've work to do! I've heard from some of the guardsmen that there is a secret passage to yew and We're going to go and Investigate it" We began by searchin' fer th' entrance te th' tunnels aroun' th' cove woods. We split up te search, an' within moments I heard th' horn tellin' me tha' Corporal Arkay 'ad found it. (http://img493.imageshack.us/img493/9766/pic15og.jpg) We stuck our 'eads in, bu' could nay see anythin' so, with true grenadier spirit, we jumped right in. Once inside we proceeded onwards an' were met by some kind o' giant ant creatures. They soon went down with a few well placed arrows from me an' Corporal Arkay, an' we carried on, only te be greeted by a truly 'orrible creature! Big purple thing tha' seemed te tunnel under us an' attack by surprise! (http://img493.imageshack.us/img493/155/pic27kw.jpg) Unimpressed by 'is cowardly tactics, we set abou' givin' 'im a bi' of a smack, an' carried on our way. A little way further, we came te a fork in th' path. We decided te try righ' first, an' wish we 'adn't! Spiders as big as a man climbed th' walls, spinnin' their nasty webs. Soon we were surrounded, an' 'ad nay choice bu' te fight our way out! (http://img493.imageshack.us/img493/2442/pic31ne.jpg) After we'd knocked a few, we saw our chance an' retreated, up th' left fork. as we descended deeper, we came across even bigger ant creatures, which were a little 'arder te kill, bu' we soon 'ad 'em beat. Next we came te a fertile part o' th' cave, where grass seemed te grow, an' a stream o' some sort ran. A large machine stood jus' te th' side o' the stream which on closer inspection seemed te purify th' water. That's when Corporal Arkay decided te do a little purification of 'is own. (http://img493.imageshack.us/img493/3319/pic46kx.jpg) Then we saw it. The biggest o' th' ant beasts, truly 'Uge, an' blockin' th' passage. Jus' as we were wonderin' 'ow te ge' past, Corporal Arkay came up with a simple bu' effective plan o' action. (http://img493.imageshack.us/img493/9033/pic51zi.jpg) We seemed te be 'eadin' towards th' surface now, an' after climbin' up for a fair while, we came te what seemed te be th' exit. After a brief look aroun' outside, we found tha' we 'ad indeed travelled te the woods surroundin' Yew! Th' passage is nay exactly safe, bu' should we need a sneaky way inte Yew, we 'ave mos' definitly go' one. *Signed* Vince Valentine Junior Guardsman |
