Title: Gate/patrol Post by: Karn on November 21, 2005, 06:33:41 pm After only just recovering from a fever, with a happy heart at being able to.. i hastily made my way back to cove.Only to be slightly shocked at what i found when i went to report for duty.
(http://img497.imageshack.us/img497/9900/start1dm.png) Not knowing.. if perhaps war had broken out and wanting to make myself usefull i fortified the main gate.after perhaps forty five minutes and with no incedents i returned the supplies and ended my watch. (http://img316.imageshack.us/img316/2862/guardduty2yj.png) Eager to get my bow skill's up to scratch after being ill for a while, i decided to pay the orc fort a visit after all its always a good idea to keep there numbers down. I hid in the bushes just outside of the fort and dropped the foul beasts from a safe distance as i was on my own and could not risk diving in there.After killing numerous of them i slung my bow over my shoulder and started to make my way back.... When all of a sudden i heard a bone rattling roar... with my heart pounding i turned to see that my incursion to the orc fort had woke an orc brute from its slumber! Every part of my body was screaming at me to flee... but i am a covian soilder i could not flee!Nor could i risk leading the brute back to the town. So with my mind made up i turned and faced the beast... It was furious and in a bezerk rage... but thanks to the training i have recieved... i kept my cool and pumped arrow after arrow into it.After perhaps half an hour and with the brute now resembling a pin cushion it finaly dropped to the floor with a loud thud. The dreadful deadies blew a hole in our beloved barracks, and yes, we are at war but with the damned Yew Militia.
