Welcome to Cove

As th'poster says, Cove will soon be holdin' an auction tha' is open to folk from all o'er Sosaria to take part in; either sellin' items or biddin' for a bargain.  Only problem is, in order for th'auction t'take place I need to get me some stock t'put under th'hammer!  An' tha's where ye good folk o' Cove can help.

Do ye have any items lyin' abou' tha' ye nay use anymore an' would be better traded fer gold?  How abou' some o' ye own wares ye created tha' ye reckon might fetch ye a hefty profit at auction?

Th'date o' th'auction will be set when we got a nice sized collection o' goods t'put under th'hammer, an' will be accompanied by a catalogue of th'submitted items.  So if ye gots anythin' ye'd like t'sell, please send me a pigeon message with details o' ye wares along with ye reserve price, startin' price an' all tha' gubbins.

[OOC]  Hey folks, if you are interested in selling something at the auction please ICQ me so I can arrange to pick up the item and talk about reserve price etc.

The items to be sold can be anything you can imagine really, within reason (Don't want anyone trying to flog the barracks or anything ;) ), but the items can generally fall into two categories.

1. Genuine Money Makers - These are actual high value in game items that people can enter into the auction if they are really looking to make some money on minor rares, artifacts, crafting rewards, powerscrolls, etc.

2. "Roleplay" items - General items that can be easily bought from NPCs or crafted, but are supplied with some background story (a book with the story written down in to accompany the item for example) to make them unique and give them character.  For example, a guard might sell an old rusty sword that he used to kill his first orc when he settled in Cove, or a craftsman might sell a worn hatchet that is rumoured to be cursed because both his father and grandfather lost their thumbs cutting wood with it in years gone by!  Just normal mundane items, given lots of character and roleplay value with stories so they can be displayed in people's houses as something to talk about.

I shall start the ball rolling by entering a shadow iron crockery and cutlery set made by Smedly Herbwood, which used to grace the Officer's table back at the Mercenary Offices in Tel'mar.

I hope others will join me in submitting their goods and making this a fun event for sellers and bidders alike  :D
