Title: *a letter to Commander Eason is attached to the usuall training invitation* Post by: Borbarad/Kilgor on December 09, 2005, 08:05:09 am Greetings Commander,
As we tend to loose a lot of time with briefings at our training I will send you the tactical information for next week in advance. Please pass the information to the officer that will lead your men on Monday. This is just the tactical outline. It isn’t necessary to fully brief your men in this as I will coordinate the different parts of this training session, but maybe show this to your officers so they know what’s going on. *signed* Captain Kilgor, Vesper Militia Training Instructions: This time we will simulate an invading army trying to conquer Vesper. There will be two teams randomly chosen at the start of the training that wont change for the rest of the night. The first task for one team will be to hold the bridge close to the Swagger’s while the other team tries to conquer it. Note: To avoid that this battle goes forever just because one or two people from a team survive and just run up all the time while having no real chance to fulfil the task anymore I will function as referee and will call the winner after a side is considered to weak to continue. The first assault: Should the attack fail the attacking team has to take another try to conquer the first bridge until they succeed. Note: Unlimited tries only at the first bridge. All other bridges will be one try only. If the attack is successful the defending team has to re-group inside of Vesper and try to conquer back the bridge (so the former attackers will be on the defence). They only have one try in this. The first counter strike: If the attack fails the bridge counts as conquered and the team that successfully conquered it may advance further toward the harbour of Vesper while the others take defensive position at the next bridge on the way. If the attack is successful the invaders are pushed back outside Vesper again and have to try to re-take the bridge (see The first Assault). They way towards the harbour: As soon as the battle has moved away from the first bridge the team that moves towards the harbour no longer receives unlimited tries to conquer a bridge. They have only one try and if it fails they have to defend the bridge they are currently holding. Note: When the team gets pushed back beyond the bridge at swaggers it starts from the beginning again.
