Welcome to Cove

This past morning four select individuals of the millitia marched to the vast cave dungeons of Covetous, eager to test themselves against the foul denizens within.

They were:
- Kurt, Junior Guardsman
- Bayne, Guardsman Recruit
- Constantius, Guardsman Recruit
- Fabien, Guardsman Recruit

"BEHIND!" screamed the ranger recruit Bayne, his hand snapping back to grasp another arrow. His warning was useless against the echoing din of the melee however and the large creature scuttled forward.

Recruit Constantius side stepped another firery bolt, bringing his blade down hard to cleave the offending Elder Gazer in two. "Ye'll nay be makin' a trophy out o' that sir!" he joked, his laughter cut short by two razor sharp fangs biting into his shoulder. The recruit began to call out in pain but the effects of the spider's venom were instantaneous and his limp form fell forward, no sound coming from his throat barring a slight gurgle. The giant arachnid's legs clicked and spindled, pulling the recruit's body towards itself in order to add Constant's form to the other wriggling bundles in the cavern. However Bayne's shot was perfect, severing both of the creature's fangs before snapping against the far wall. Screeching and hissing at the millitia warriors it stumbled backwards, only to be cut down by the waiting Kurt and Fabien their faces twisted with anger.

Gazers, spiders, bleh... Nasty business.
