Post by: Joey Lanai on January 16, 2006, 05:28:05 pm
Joey's Games

With all the recent wars and battles, Joey took it upon himself to lift the spirits of the men,
how would one accomplish such an act? ofcourse! a series of silly games and puzzles to
keep everyone occupied!

Once it was announced, many guardsmen were a little confused as to what in the world
"Joey Games" are, so when they joined the line they were sceptical, but soon enough,
there were a fair few ready to take part in the first Joey Games.

Soon the teams were decided.

Team Arcanist (Green)

Kas Valentine
Dasnord Reck
Malakim
Gantoris (Joined late)

Team Regular (Blue)

Delcarakdur
Mela
(Third man unknown)

Team Grenadier (Red)

Vince Valentine
Rupert Radir

Team Scout (Purple)

Jennifer Feather
Cor'ari...something
Vincent Redfield (Joined late)

Once the teams were sorted, it was time to move onto the first game.

Game 1 - Solve the Riddles

Solving the riddles game is as simple as what it says, solve the riddles. A riddle is read out
and the teams must work together to figure out where the riddle is describing, then get to
that location first and recover the piece of armour found there, each armour piece gave that
team 1 point towards their total, 4 armour pieces, so there were four points up for grabs
in this round.

Joey Announces the game

After a quick-grab-start from the Red team, the round could have gone anywhere, Red had
gathered two pieces, green had one, and purple had one, unfortunately blue managed to
gather no pieces of the suit.

Total Scores after Game 1

Green Team - 1
Blue Team - 0
Red Team - 2
Purple Team - 1

Game 2 - Carry the Tub

In this game, the teams would line up in their designated lanes, each team would have a
coloured tub of dyes and each member would have to carry the tub to the end, place it on
the coloured cloth, then into the empty space, before dragging it back to the next team
member, once all team members had made a "Run", they were complete. Each winning round
would give that team 1 point, when a team reaches 3 points, the game is over.

The race is on!

After a quick start from team green, things seemed to be going well for them, purple team also
had a good go, but team blue managed to steal the win, earning them three points, teams
green and purple one point, and nothing for team red.

Total Scores after Game 2

Green Team - 2
Blue Team - 3
Red Team - 2
Purple Team - 2

Game 3 - Rush !

In this game there would be two sides of the arena, the idea was that the teams would rush
from one side to the other, though whilst in the center, they were vulnerable to Joey's hammer,
if you fell, you would join Joey in taking down the other members. Being the last person standing
would earn your team 3 points, coming second earnt 2, and third place earned your team 1 point.

The men rest after a long and painfull game

At the end of Rush, Team red escaped with first place, Blue team in second and team purple in third.

Total Scores after Game 2

Green Team - 2
Blue Team - 5
Red Team - 5
Purple Team - 3

Game 4 - Handicap Tournament (Point stealing round)

In this Game, each team would have a chance to challenge another team in combat, if they beat
the other team, they gain a point from them, if they lose, they lose a point to them. Though there
was a twist, each round the challenging team would also pick a number from 1 - 7, which would
then select a random handicap rule which they would have to abide by during the round.

Those handicaps were;

No Healing (At all!)
No Healing Yourself (Though you may heal your team mates)
No Weapons (Fight unarmed!)
No Ranged Weapons (No Bows!)
No Magery (Chivalry, Magery, Necromancy ect.)
No Movement (Teams are placed toe to toe, no movement allowed)
No Armour (Fight with no.. armour...)

Team Blue challenge Team Red

Teams battled it out for what seemed like forever, points were gained, and point were certainly lost,
at the end of the game, the total results were in.

Final Scores

Green Team - 1
Blue Team  - 5
Red Team - 6
Purple Team - 2
