Title: Is it cold in here? Post by: Bayne on January 17, 2006, 11:51:09 am Bayne gasped in agony as the fist of the towering Ice Golem caught him full in the chest, sending him flying to the frozen dungeon floor. Gasping for air, the watchman desperately rolled to one side as the foul construct toppled forwards on top of him, shattering into a thousand pieces.
Looking up he caught the blinding grin of Corporal Lanai, perched proudly atop his destrier warhorse, "Up ye get fella!" he called before charging off into the fray. Growling and cursing, bayne rose to his feet, still winded from the golem attack. Notching an arrow he moved towards the grim battle, the eerie magical cold surrounding the dungeon burning like fire in his lungs. Roaring in anger the ranger loosed his first arrow, then another in quick succession, dropping his target, a massive Ice Daemon without so much as a whimper. Covian Army in Attendance: Vince Valentine - Officer Cadet (Leader) Joey Lanai - Dragoon Corporal Kal Shadowhand - Officer Cadet Bayne - Watchman Kas Valentine - Junior Guardsman Nicholi - Watchman Volo R - Recruit (http://img30.imageshack.us/img30/4082/up9gs.jpg) Cadet Vince was to lead us on a vicious hunt to attack the frozen dungeon of Ice, a place where time itself was frozen in the deathly cold. Kas opened a portal to the entrance and we readied ourselves for the denizens of this foul place, wrapping our winter cloaks around us. It wasn't long before we encountered first signs of hostility, vicious snow and ice elementals tore into our ranks along with Frost Trolls and Ice Fiends. A former home to someone it seemed, now left Baron and filled with Daemons. In one room a large symbol lined the floor, a swirling mist at it's centre. Assuming this was where the eerie cold and terrible monsters were coming from I backed away, not wanting to get pulled into their world. (http://img39.imageshack.us/img39/8375/pentagram9jg.jpg) Heading out of this Daemon Cave we made our passage back out of the dungeon but something even more powerful than the Ice Daemons was waiting. A colossal White Wyrm, it's wings filling the entire cavern, blocked our path. Grimacing we engaged the beast, desperately trying to avoid its gaping maw and frozen breath. It seemed the creature could not hold to the new Covian Army and it's gargantuan corpse soon lay frozen on the dungeon floor.
