The little gold he earns as recruit was simply not enough. Especially not as the nightmares got worse and he spends his whole money for alcohol and some shade to find at least a little rest.
His hands weren’t calm enough to work as scribe anymore as he used to in the past. Neither he could work as alchemist again as too much time has passed and he forgot most of the things he once knew. But he would need more gold. Thoughtfully he looked out of the window of the barracks. A few young soldiers were training with an officer. Watching them he finally got an idea how to earn some coins.
