A Raid on the Ice Dungeon! Lead by Junior Guardsman Thomas Sendrich with Junior Grenadier Rupert Ridir Watchman Bayne Guardsman Recruit Jack Sinist Guardsman Recruit Geit Arma After a brave raid on the large beasts in Despise, our merry band thought it safe to sleep. But Junior Guardsman Thomas Sendrich had other plans for us. Knocking on the doors of our homes only hours after we had settled to sleep, he shouted eager commands. Assembling at the barracks he told us that the cousins of the giants we had slain only earlier that night were hoarding a great treasure, and that we were to travel to the dungeon of Ice to retrieve it. On arriving, charging through the cave entrance, we five Covians braved the chilling ice, clobbering and eliminating the icey spiders that spun their webs in the cave ahead. A few metres in, we were set upon by a band of Ratmen who had made their home in the caves. Hurling magical attacks and swords at us, we bravely parried their attacks and struck home with our maces, and the whistling of arrows overhead from Rupert and Bayne. Dispatching the band of attackers, Thomas lead us to an area where the Ogre Lords of Ice slept, their hulking bodies coated in fine crystals of frost. Thomas called the order to attack, and as the beasts roused from their sleep, we slew them one by one. However there were too many for us, and as they woke they surrounded us and knocked a few of our number. We took what we could and made our escape. Safely back at the barracks, we discovered that we had in fact aquired a fair amount for the Miltia coffers! Thomas congratulated us all. "Alright lads," he said.
