Title: Adressing your fellow Covian.
Post by: Kazuo Shinrai on July 02, 2006, 07:19:52 pm
Appearantly, in the days of old, it was custom to adress people either by their title or their standing. Standing can either be their military rank, their civic status (if the person holds office, for example) or simply their job.

Erik Arkay for example would be Commander Arkay and never just "Erik".

A noble of Cove would be adressed by Lord and his last name, whereas a knighted or decorated soldier (officer or not) would be Sir.

The Baron would be adessed as the Baron, Lord Baron or Lord Baron Richter (to make it super formal) but never by his first name. Also as a matter of respect, those who have the authority to do so would displine anyone they'd find out about adressing the Baron otherwise, be it in private or not.

Just my two cents.
Might add on this later but right now there is a topless scene with Cindy Crawford on tv.

I agree! tell the truth only a rank of second lieutant or higher is actually addressed sir.
Everything below are addressed as Sergeant or Corporal or Officer cadet
E.G.corporal or sergeant should be addressed as Sergeant Lani or Corporal D'mar.....
