Title: Couple of questions
Post by: Garak Nightchill on July 17, 2006, 04:20:24 am
1: How do we address guards above us in rank but not an officer?  I've seen conflicting information.  Some think anyone our superior is called sir, others that only officers are called sir.

If we don;t call non-officers sir, how do we refer to them? Calling them Junior, Regular or Senior is a bit crap, and Junior/Regular/Senior Guardsman is a bit of a mouthful.

2: What kind of timescale do you  (as an individual) adopt?  Do you have your char age in realtime i.e a week in Britannia passes like a normal week, or do you use Britannian time, which is 5 UO years for every one real year?  I'm curious what the majority use.

1: All superiors are to be referred to as "sir" or "ma'am."

2: I use a variety of timescales to use my own whimsical needs. I never cared much for 'UO time.'

1. Same as octie. 2. Uo time passes 10 times as fast as real time.
