That's right! A brand new Citizen Element, using old ideas from previous attempted concepts in BoC and new ideas furiously written down at 4am on half of a working brain, has been added to the growing guild of BoC!

Quick question - how will the dubloon system work? When the dubloons are added weekly will it be down to rank how much? And when we give you dubloons how will they be removed from our count?

And possibly could we have a more city-worthy name? I like dubloon but it sounds very 'piratey', maybe something like 'farthings'?Up to you.

Wages will be given weekly. Records will be kept on each citizen of how many dubloons they earn during the week (this information is taken from Business Reports, much like regular reports written by Guardsmen), and every Sunday these wages will be added to each individual's dubloon balance.

As the plan goes currently, these wages will be announced during the Baron's Court meetings, though the balances will still be written.

To answer your second inquiry, you're right. "Dubloon" does sound piratey. The name was actually chosen because Cove is a port town, surrounded by water on almost all sides, and we wanted to emphasize that with the name of the currency. Octiovus, in fact, had a character in BoC with a previous history of piracy, and I would hardly be surprised if other Covians had similar backgrounds.
