When: 27th September 8 PM GMT

To celebrate Cove's recent triumphs in Minoc, a Tourney has been organised for the soldiers in this campaign to show their mettle.  Three events will run at the same time on and near the Covian fields, with food being served and maybe even some traders hawking their wares.

The Joust:  Special lances will be loaned to those who cannot normally use this weapon.  Horses will also be loaned to those in need of a mount.  Horses only, no llamas, ostards, ghostie mounts, warhorses etc.  The winner of each joust will be determined by whoever dismounts their opponent best out of three.  Special commemorative lances will be given out as prizes along certificates.  The winner will also be given a gold prize and the honour of nominating the Tourney's Queen of Love and Beauty.  Armour will be supplied to those brave enough to take part but lacking armour.

The Arcanist Competition:  2 mages boxed in fighting, no necromancy, healing with bandages, hiding, spirits-peak, summons, mana drain, potions.  Buff precasting allowed i.e protection, reflect bless etc.  If its still ongoing after 3 minutes it stops, restarts with no healing, though curing is allowed.  Special commemorative staffs will be given out as prizes along with certificates and a gold prize for the winner.

The Archery Competition:  Archery duel, no chivalry prayers, potions.  It will involve two archers standing boxed in firing fowlling blunts (blunt arrows) at each other.   If no one is knocked down in 3 minutes it's stopped while they recoverand then it resumes until someone is knocked, this time without any healing.  Special commemorative bows will be given out as prizes along with certificates and a gold prize for the winner.

The above events will run at the same time.

If time permits, there will be a Grand Melee, which will involve all contestants standing in a ring fighting each other until one person is left standing.  Normal rules of engagement apply though no hiding or invisibilty allowed.  A special commemorative gold axe, a certififcate and a gold prize will be given out to the winner.

The prize-giving and feast will take place after the events are over.
