Journal Extract - Desmond Frederick Krieger
Early Evening, Thursday, 21st September 2006

In an attempt in increase the troop count of our Baron’s grand Covian Army, Officer Cadet Raziel Richter, after an intriguing speech the previous eve, led an arranged Recruitment Parade into the Loyalist Capital – Britain. Despite the ample notification of this important excursion, the attendance record was somewhat poor; nevertheless, this obviously did not prevent the small dose of success that our squad had!


With a tiring jog to the Minoc portal, and a brief march from the Britain portal to the city itself, the Recruitment had commenced. The crowds that are typically found at the bank bustled as ever, with a couple of interested faces moseying in to our ranks. What became of them, I am not entirely sure – but I personally had a stroke of luck! Navigating the commotion, I noticed an idle looking lad. Beginning with common chitchat, and of course spreading the word of the Covian Army, he soon became rather interested in what I had to say. Passing him a recruitment leaflet, and indeed a copy of our tome itself, he was rapidly captivated by the idea of enlistment. With a good part of an hour spent on seeing him equipped with a reliable pigeon, and pointing him in the right direction with regards to the many pages of the tome, I had to retreat back to Cove for the subsequent Alliance Drill. His name: Nemoski. We will remain closely in touch until his initiation is complete.
