Title: Ultima Online: Rebirth
Post by: Marcus Kobra on October 03, 2006, 09:41:12 am
There has been word that a NEW RACE will be brought in.. I assume a playable one..  The babbling crone in tokuno seems to have seen stout bearded beings minning and coveting.. dwarves mine have beards and covet their treausres!! So say Dwarves or their cousins Gnomes become playble races... Will command allow Dwarf/Gnomes to be Citezens? or even commoners of Cove?? I mean Cove does seem just slightly Predjudicial to foreign races :) In a nice secluded town sorta way of course! Insulare i suppose rather than predjudice. um anyway will command take Dwarf/Gnome being an accepted race for covish Peoples??/ We do LIVE near MOUNTAINS after all.... ok peice out!! and yes my spelling sucks... and no i shant fix eeet!!

Your spelling is downright offensive. Fix it. *Mutters.*

I would assume that dwarves'll be allowed.

Dwarves are ugly and should be killed.

Some nice friendly replies here, I see.

Dwarves would be an awesome addition to UO. They're one of my favorite fantasy races. "Mining and coveting" sounds a little wierd since "covet" means to envy or be jealous of. It's some obscure bible word.

As far as allowing Dwarves in BoC, well that depends. I can certainly see them as citizens and commoners, but the reason elves aren't allowed as guardsmen is because their head gear doesn't display properly and they only have one decent skin color -- they disrupt the uniformity of the military and demean the honor of the Covian cap (when you can't even see it!)

I do hope Dwarven outfits display properly. I'd like to see them in the army. There's just so many ways t make fun of them! I can't wait.

You'd think uniforms would display properly on a dwarf though wouldn't you? Would be ghey if they didn't.

I would HAVE to have a dwarf character. Dwarves rawk so hard. ;D

Od's? Nah, Khae's would be neat.

Special spells available only to Khae's:
Fizzle vas flam
Khae vas flam

Well, if they are gonna introduce dwarves then they had better upgrade the alchemy skill as well!
Because if I am a dwarf I wanna brew my own beer!

How cool would that be though...
New cooking recepies have been introduces before so who knows!

60 cooking
80 alchemy
means you can make Stout Ale
- when you drink it you temporarily get +10str, -5int, +5phys

What would be the ultimate (at least for me) though would be random effects.
The way crafting should have been from the beginning of AOS (and as it was before with VDP).

You brew say... greater strength potions.
Normally they give you +20 but what if part of that is random?
What if they gave you +15 and then +1 to 10, randomly calculated when the potion is poured in the bottle and ofcourse then displayed. Would add alot more dept to any trade (as they same could be done for exceptional weapon damage etc.) and imagine the bliss of having created a full keg of +25 (+15 + 10) strength potions!

As to get back on topic, if that was applied to beer then it could add random drunkness.
Where dwarves would only suffer half penalty.

Lol dude. That's an interesting idea tbh! :D

I hope, alongside a new race, for a more extensive character creation process. Heights and weights for a start. With the all-new graphical look, at least something extra to make characters more unique could be possible.

Long curly hair for everyone for a start.

I would totally love to have a Covian Frontier! Perhaps a Covian hunting lodge and trading post.
