Title: Khae's UO fate Post by: Khaelieth on October 25, 2006, 09:54:21 pm I'm going to try to explain why my UO logins are non-existent. The whole thing that sparked this rant was that yesterday I sat in my room, bored stiff. I have not been able to play UO, and I wasn't able to then either, due to that my current internet, though free, does not let me do anything past viewing web pages. I've been so bored I've even read the recruits' reports, signed up for Utopia and Kings Of Chaos and checked my mail. This is very problematic for both my MSN and ICQ, but most importantly... My needed dose of UO. Though it's not a large amount I need, I need some, but therein lies the problem. I cannot play.
So the brilliant chap that I am thought. The wheels turned slowly, a bit rustily at first, and then... Wireless broadband for my laptop. 25£ Khae gets 2 MB of speed, enough to play UO without too much lag. Khae even read up on the subject of wi-fi's as they're called. Only thing is... nasty neighbours leeching it. But Khae's gets fancy PC geeks to encrypt and shizzle, Khae doesn't like sharing. Anyway, I will try to figure out if my sockets and all are compatible etc etc, but if worst comes to worst, I'll be back in mid December through to the end of the year, and then from July. hrrrm...The reason is, i just got it and unless you like Mr and Mrs lagg, then you wint like it. Lag is playing through the first internet thingy available (dial-up? Modem?) and fighting alongside the Grd against the Amazon Nation and Bujin'kai and there being 70+ people within 4 screens. That's LAG. Not gotten around to fixing the con yet.
