The elderly tokunese man let out a short sigh as he stared blankly out of the window, towards the Tokuno mountains. In his prime, he commanded countless men, all willing to die for whatever cause he deemed worthy. Alas, His forces had dwindled, with now only a faithful handful stayed by his side. A sudden knock at the door jolted him from his thoughts. "Come in" he muttered, slightly annoyed at just how much the knock had startled him. A nervous looking young man entered, trying his best to flatten his somewhat wild hair which looked as if it hadn't seen water for a good few months. "General, Sir!" he exclaimed. The elderly man nodded to him. "We've found it sir! We've found out where it's hidden!" he exclaimed, perhaps a little too enthusiastically. After a moments pause, the old mans mouth formed into a slight smile, and he spoke once more... "Ready the men, we leave at first light" The young man nodded, and hurried out, leaving the door ajar. The elderly man closed it with a quiet click and returned to his window. "Our time is almost at hand once again" He whispered, his face twisting into an evil grin.... |
