Title: Parade Drill
Post by: Amy Marsteller on February 07, 2007, 04:40:07 pm
Led By:
Amy Marsteller - Watchman
Attending:
Hoagie - Captain
Mela Arkay - Scout Sergeant
Eve - Junior Guardsman
Leloo - Watchman (buggered off halfway through, and left me with the report, so I didn't have any Sketches from then.)
Marcus - Guardsman Recruit (buggered off halfway through)

I started the the drill with Five people, so I hope this still counts. I started off by going over the more basic Commands, like "Sound off" and "Number off" explaining each one as I went.. Though, it seems I'm rather sacrry, for Marcus already asked to bugger off.. I then moved on to Arming up and readying arms.. Fun stuff! I wanted to see the groups war faces, and hear they're best war cries to scare the pants off them yewish!

"GOESFRABA!!!"

After that, we got started in the HARD stuff... TURNING Dun dun dun. Everytime in a parade we always get SOMEONE to get it wrong! So I spnet some extra time on this subject clearifing that right does indeed mean right, and left sure means left.

"One of these things is not like the others, one of these things just doesn't belong *hums*"

After a few goes though, everyone seemed to understand. Then, we moved onto infamous Salute to the Fore Command. Again, it seems nearly everyone messes this one up.. So I took some speacail time to overly explain it.. Explaining that the "Salute to the Fore" command only tells the Guardsmen in which direction to Salute, and that they will be saluting in the near future, and that the "Salute" command was the acual command to... you guess it... Salute! This one we got off the bat.. I was so proud, I jumped for joy.

After finishing the Parade Drill, we went into a Battle Drill, working on Froming, and charging and Reforming drills. We also did some healing and trust work, where I basically beat 'em up while they were in formation.. and they healed eachother.. No one fell. It was great. We also finished with a Free fer all with NO RULES... and Hoagie won that... All in all things went well and all who endured the entire process get's my thumbs up for being a good soldier! Hurray!
