Title: Timeline of the Covain history
Post by: Gimbly on February 19, 2007, 11:49:35 am
Avast ye salty seadogs !
As time goes by, more and more events or plotline events had past since the
covain Empire was funded by Pimp-Daddy-Octopus and more and more underlings infest our fluffy lands ...
more and more time-pardoxi befog our (my) simple minds (tm) (or only me ? )day by day.

When comparing things like " I spent now about 40 years in the covain army  (beeing a watchman now *coughs*"
etc etc ... with the given event times like Kaldorian Event ( 10 years past) and add a few more years
from the Orc invasionthen we would have a sum of about 15 years we are speaking off .. So 40 years would
be somewhat unrealistic. Don't get me wrong i don't want to blame anyone for that as i made up my own time line as well (but tried to adjust it to the Kaldorian event lately)
( f.e Gimbly entered the army at about the age of 30 and now hes mid 40). Of course the biggest enemy of
such an "exact" timeline in a rp environment like we have would be to die of old age

So would be fine to have  : A fine small red line with a more or less plausible timeline
containing key / special events (plotline) and stuff ... and adjust our alter egos to it

I know it's not easy to bring all the different profiles to a common time denominator
but with a common time line we would be able to do so ( at least we have the possibility)

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Hihi. Elvis  ;D

I think! (I do somethimes  :-\) that people want to age when they feel like. I think it would be great to have some kind of time line and how people age etc. But one can't force a player to age to some old lady or old man or such if they don't want to. Not everyone are like Hog that develop grey beard and hair :P

Ive got to say that that 10 year Kaldorian thing was just a number i through out there, there was no real thinking behind it.

But 15 years since the orc campaign sounds about right as Darath was about 25 when he joined and 40 now.

Ohh and you should check out Easons profile for a timeline.

Why not just use the UO calendar?

Well actually it doesn't matter from where we get the source for the calender nor if we would use the
"UO calender" whatever this might be  ??? #( i guess you dont mean the event calender)
The only thing that i'd like to see or have is a guide,a timeline we can use or calculate with.
And well Easons profile would be an excellent source for that indeed.

Then make it even more simple, compair Eason's timeline to the UO callender and the date the Baronship was founded. Takes some calculation at first but voila, you'll have an accurate timeline of the Baronship's existance and events.
