"Yellow skinned bastard", "Tokunian nitwitt" or "Narrow eyed fool" are not a problem as in this case the person's appearance is an adjective and not an insult. I had at one time an Asian girlfriend, so I'm arguably a racist fuming against asians. My character Erik however, doesn't like Tokunese people. People shouldn't be so jumpy about something virtual. If Erik is called a bastard and a sheepshagger by Yewlings I don't go throwing a hissyfit either.

In fairness if you think that some people may be offended by the phrase then dont even bother using it. It simply is not worth it risking pissing people off over a word very easily be replaced with something else. Thread Locked. |
