Attending: Hoagie Grayner, Dragoon sergeant Kerri, Guardsman Recruit Gabriel Drachen, Guardsman Recruit While we were talking at the barracks (actually they were talking and I was staring off into space) a strangely dressed man named Krel Varone approached us and asked us if we would be kind enough to escort him while he dug for a chest of treasure, as some beasts such as Ogre Lords and Dread spiders might come in hope of having a light snack before rest. Taking a couple of minutes to prepare, Sir Hoagie teased Gabriel about being afraid of going on ships (Not that it mattered since we went by gate). When Krel arrived with a shovel he opened a gate and we all stepped through to a humid jungle in the middle of no where. Being a Scout in training, I found the nearest shadow and stuck low. As Krel dug from the hole he dug from two fiery elementals and a large black spider emerged chasing Krel and striking him (or burning him) until he fell. But it wasn't long before Hoagie, Gabriel and myself charged the beasts sending them to their dooms.. the Covian way! As Mr.Varone came too he got up and grabbed his shovel, not wasting time on pulling the treasure chest up further. As the chest got nearer to the surface, more things crawled out the large hole. We beat down an elemental air and two liches as well as the other things. Once the chest was pryed open we all rummaged and took what we wanted (I got some reagents for the Scouts and a few gems) as well as 1000 gold coins for our efforts.
