Post by: Axiana on May 31, 2007, 07:49:16 pm Boot Cleaning In the first small painting, ye will see that I had time enough before one of the guardsmen's hunts to clean the boots of a Mr Nightchill. This be a while back now, but I take great pride in my work, as the guardsmen will tell ye. I washed the mud from their boots thoroughly, in the fountain outside the town hall, just hope that I am not polluting the water, since I nay know where them boots have been. I dried them then set about rubbing the polish into the leather, and lastly polished them with a clean cloth until they shone like mirrors! The second painting shows me cleaning Mr Grayners boots again outside the barracks, oh just look at his bare feet! I could smell them from where I stood at the barracks. Think his feet needed washing more so than his boots. The third and fourth painting, shows me cleaning Miss Hayden's boots, and the seventh and eighth picture, cleaning boots for a guardsman named Tib! Painting five shows me cleaning the boots of a guardsman named Kas Valentine, is he related to the departed Grenadier Vince? I dared not ask. Painting number six, shows me polishing the boots of a guardsman who wishes to retire, he was experiencing severe pains in his Knee at the time, his name was Nicoli.
