Recently Stonekeep was blown up by unknown persons. Seems that the Yewians have been questioning various folk and somehow have come to believe that Cove is responsible for the destruction at Stonekeep. Not that we wouldn’t be happy to reduce Stonekeep to rubble, but the point of the matter is that Yew may be seeking to retaliate. Sergeant Hoagie called for an outpost to be manned at the Yew moongate to observe Yewian military movement.

While the sergeant was briefing us on the mission, some long haired blonde bard approached our formation. He asked if he could come with us because he needed inspiration to write some frilly poem of some sort. He said he had never seen the face of battle before. I would say he never had seen the face of a pair of scissors or a barber. Such long blonde locks made him look like a lass.

We made our way to the Yew moongate and built a fortification. It did not take long for a Yew scout to find us. Shortly after, a sizeable formation of Yewians arrived. After exchanging customary pleasantries, the wretched Yewians lobbed conflagrations and explosions at us, which combined with their archery, tore our defensive formation. After being routed, all the wounded regrouped back at the Minoc moongate, and we hobbled from there back to Cove.
